Default Exhaust note

New here and was wondering about exhaust systems. 2016 F150 and looking at catted downpipes but trying to stay some what quiet. Not really wanting the honda civic sound.

The motor in your truck may help with a decision of what exhausts parts don't make a 2.7 or 3.5 sound like a mini-car sound.

The best exhaust note for an EB is bone stock. Anyone who tells you differently is in denial. On behalf of humanity, we thank you for not pursuing the civic sound.

You could eliminate the resonator and pick up a little more tone/volume, anything more and you will get what you don't want.

Coming from an older F150 with a v-8, I really wanted my truck to sound better/louder. Spent hours watching videos and reading reviews. There are a few systems that sound nice on startup and low rpm but at high rpm, they do not sound good to me.

I ultimately took the advice of several members here on the site, bought a cheap, steel mid-pipe (for around $25.00), removed the resonator and called it a day. I gained just a little more noise and the noise of the turbos has grown on me, especially with a good tune. I do have plans later in the spring to take my truck to a local exhaust shop and have them remove the steel mid-pipe and have it replaced with stainless steel and open up my exhaust to 3" from front to back.
