Default **** exhaust

I have a 2017 with the 2.7 and only 2200 miles. Today I noticed a 6" spot of black carbon with drops leading out the door coming from my truck. I crawled under and saw a drilled hole on both ends of the converter and muffler. I could see leakage coming out from the converter on the frame.
I went to my dealer where I bought it and was told this is how its made now, and this is so that the muffler does not rust out.

Was given an 800 number and they gave me the same run-around. I SAID THIS WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Tomorrow someone is suppose to call me back!

Those are weeping holes...and they do just that...allow water to run out so it doesn't sit/corrode.

So you want them to call you about the weep holes every OEM exhaust system on the planet has?
Calm down, man....it's supposed to be that way.
Or would you rather have condensation sitting in the system and rotting it from the inside out?

I love it when someone has all capital letters that they're mad about when it's actually something made properly and working properly.

Good luck getting this "fixed".

Take it to an aftermarket exhaust shop and have them hit the holes with a MIG welder. Then let us know how long it takes for your exhaust to rot out. Maybe it will make it last longer.

good engineering.
I lost many exhausts over the years due to rusting from the inside.

He's right , if the water drains that means the muffler bearings wont keep cool while driving . While your at it check the blinker fluids make sure there topped up .
