Anyone on here that has installed the Corsa exhaust on the 3.5 and have sound clips they could post up. I'm looking for in cab sound while cruising at highway speed and acceleration ?

 

My buddy has a Corsa exhaust on his 3.5 Eco.....can you say DRONE......VERY loud exterior sound with interior drone to match.

 

That's odd cause they advertise no drone. I just really want to hear interior sound. I had a MBRP on my Ram Hemi and it had drone but I got use to it.

 

They all advertise no drone....lol I have the MBRP 3" on my 2.7 Eco & had to put a 3" MBRP resonator on it because of the drone.....but they advertised no drone.

 

4" MBRP here on a 2.7....they didn't advertise no drone...and for good reason, but the outer sound is very nice and meaty (if you will), I get used to the drone and on the highway cruising at 75ish it is minimal

 

My 3" MBRP sounds very nice also. I just didn't want any drone at all. The 3" MBRP full flow resonator cut 90% of the interior drone out, but the exterior sound was unchanged.

 

That is odd because we have Corsa on all of our F150s and customer's builds as well and they sound great IMO. Did he delete the resonator by chance? I always try to tell customers to keep the factory resonator as we do and Corsa recommends, because that will do it every time if removed for sure. They do of course get a bit louder with the high flow downpipes but not bad on stock with the factory resonator.

Here is a video of our Thunderstorm catback exhaust system which we made using Corsa's components. This is on the 3.5 EcoBoost engine, but in our Explorer sport so not identical. This is a good demonstration to show how quiet it can be inside the truck during multiple different scenarios as well.

The video is silent at the beginning but will eventually get louder. So be sure to watch the volume on your PC.

 

I will probably look into getting a resonator down the road. Probably the same time I decide to get CAI and Tuner...thanks for the info

 

It's a V6. It's not going to sound good. I've never heard a V6 that sounded good with an aftermarket exhaust.

 

Yes, the resonator was deleted on his exhaust. Removing the resonator makes a HUGE difference in your exhaust sound, even with a stock muffler.
