So tonight I was tightening my Sway bar end links as they were loose from getting my 6112s and new precision Axles from O'reillys installed. (the passenger side inner is now torn) ... but I noticed this damage on my passenger side Steering knuckle I think is what it's called.
Does anyone know what causes this? Is it a big deal? how do I fix it?
The truck is scheduled to go into the shop on Aug 29th at my local Ford for $145 an hour for a diagnostic ... for a front pinion seal and check out what is going on with my CV axles and A/C compressor howling on startup.
Because it's the steering geometry. When the guys complain about tire rub when they get -25 wheels, it rubs at full lock in reverse, but almost always just the passenger side. Just the way it is. Happened to me as well.

He was referring to the tire rubbing the inner fender when people run offset wheels and bigger tires. Your wheels and tires are not the problem here. In fact, as mentioned, there is no problem here at all you're just hitting full steering lock.
Yes, I was only referencing that it only hits the passenger side because how the steering geometry is, it was an example as to why you are seeing it on just the passenger side of your stock truck.
This is very disappointing. I was promised "everything falling apart," and all I get is a little rubbed spot on a steering knuckle, which every truck in the universe with more than 50 miles on the odometer has. SIgh.
