So tonight I had to take out Forscan to work on my beater (if anyone wants to get real nerdy and help me figure out this issue I'm having with it, PM me...it's got me stumped) and afterwards, I went back to restore the double-honk on my truck. A lot of powertrain control units having been adding torque management and monitoring in to enhance and improve engine control....knowing the F-150 had that, I decided to look for it in Forscan. Found it...and then went driving.
I did a couple of WOT in 2nd and ended up with 555 Nm --> 409.35 lb-ft. I'd be impressed although I'm curious if anyone else has taken a look at their numbers and found "over-improvements" over stock. I realize these are just estimates, but if you look at the calculation, it's a fairly solid way of estimating assuming PCM refresh rates are fast enough to avoid aliasing.
Anyone else try this and get similar numbers for a 5.0?
