Default Engine shuts down

I have read the post on the 3.5 Eco Boost shutting down while moving, but my situation is a bit different. New 2016 F-150 Lariat with 5.0. Picked up in mid April. Have less just over 1000 miles on the odometer. First time this happened was within the first 100 miles. Going to work, stopped for some traffic in front of me. When traffic began moving, I hit the gas and realized the engine had shut off, (radio was on, so I did not hear the engine stop running, and I don't believe there is an alarm when it shuts off). Then yesterday, (over a month after the first incident), I was sitting at a red light, and the same thing happened. Both times, I quickly shifted into neutral and hit the ignition switch, and the truck started right up and ran without any issue.

Will these two incidents show up on a code in the computer, or will it require the dealer to replicate the issue? If that's the case, it is anyone's guess when this will happen again. Anyone else have this issue.

Other than this strange issue, the truck has been flawless. No issues to date. Love the truck.

They might set a code, have the dealer check. Do you have the push button start and keyless ignition system?

Mine did this within 5 miles of buying it on the way home from dealer.. Same deal at the very first red light I had to stop for. Brand new truck took me a few seconds to even figure out that the engine had stop.. Mainly because I had just traded in my 2002 with the very noisy exhaust manifold leak.. You always knew if it was running,, as did everyone on my block..

Has never done it again.. 14 months 8,000 miles.
