Which engine/gears with 35's?
I tried searching and browsed around the forum but couldn't find the answer to my question. I'm buying a 2015 Platinum in the next week or two and want to run 35's (295/65R20).
Which does a better job with bigger 34-35" tires: the EB w/ 3.55's or the V8 w/ 3.73's?
I know these trucks aren't sports cars but ultimately I'd like to have the engine/gear choice that's faster after the 35's are installed. (I know changing ring/pinion is an option, but from what I've read that's another $1500+ and no warranty)
Thanks!

Assuming the EB, how well does a tuner make up for the 3.55 gears? Specifically, do the updated shift points & tire diameter parameters take some of the strain of the transmission/gears? Or will a EB with 3.55's and 35's probably kill some drivetrain components after 2-3 years?
Thanks
Thanks
Based on gear ratio, if you compare the stock EB package which has 3.31 gear and 31.9" tires to a 34.8" tire (typical 35x12.5 size), your revised gear ratio is 3.6. So 3.55s should provide the same get up and go.

Either one will be sufficient, just pick which motor you like. Our 1st gear in our trannies is very aggressive and short. Its not like the 4 speed autos of yesterday where you automatically need to regear. If you are unhappy with the lost power feel, add a tuner.
