Engine Break-In and E85
I have 400 miles on my ‘19 STX, and with the 5.0 I’m supposedly a Flex Fuel Vehicle. It’s listed on the window sticker, and it’s on the fuel filler port, but I don’t have a tailgate badge.
Anyway, with the insane price of gas here in CA, the E85 is starting to look like a viable alternative. Pump price is $2.89 vs 87 octane at $3.89+.
Has anyone used E85 this early in the life of the vehicle? Are there any issues with breaking in the engine? How long is that break-in period anyway?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
