Default Electronic rust preventers

Dealer is selling a module with sacrificial anodes that apparently work really well. Is this a legit thing? Dealer wants $600, can these be found elsewhere for less?

Don't waist your money. I live in the rust belt and all I do is take my truck to the car wash a lot in the winter.

I know of someone in the Minneapolis suburbs who does it as a dealer aftermarket, they charge the dealers less than $200 to do it, so you might want to pass or at least negotiate!

i got it for 400 and only reason i did was because i don't ever have to worry about rust. i don't think the system actually works but really doesn't matter as i don't have to pay a dime if the truck rusts at all while i have it

Dont waste your money! We use industrial size ones here at work..same technology and they dont work worth a damn... still a ton of corrosion. Get a good dripless oil spray done yearly and you are golden!!

I know people are going to beat this post up... but if you have a 2015 truck, at least your better off than you've ever been....It's Aluminum skinned right....

ya ya, I know... brake lines frame, etc are still going to rust... but, I have to admit, I'm really impressed so far at the glimpses I've had under my new truck... seems they've painted quite a bit of it...

I remember the days of seeing completely rusted axle housings, drive shafts and other things..
