Default Electrical Power Failure

2015 F150 V6 eco...1800 miles - truck started and would drive with no power steering. All electric failed - no dashboard, gauges, lights, power steering. computers, windows - everything. Drove about 1/4 miles and computers booted up and power returned. Still no power steering. Pulled over, restarted and received a few warnings about 4X4, restarted again and all warnings cleared and drove away as if nothing had happened. Just dropped it off at the dealership. Anybody else? Any ideas?

He's partially right, it could be a loose connection that seats/unseats itself (hence the total power down and errors) while driving

But it could be a lot worse, too, thinking electrical gremlin

Seems similar to this https://www.f150forum.com/f118/3-str...-truck-303395/

The vehicle started even though all of the dash, computers were completely out. The engine would not have craned and started without power to the starter. I'm thinking computer glitch or short btw the master fuse box and the cab. The other link provided was not similar what I experienced.

of course it would, or wouldn't depends on how loose and what would cause it to make and/or break contact.

mark4d- can you explain the outcome and/or fix of your truck? My 2015 just did this 2 days ago and is in the shop now. Has 40k.
I've read about many fixes (or maybe trial & errors) on this issue so being years later, am curious to know what actually resolved your issue.
Thank you

Good luck! Mark4d only did 3 posts....all were in this thread....and it was almost 5 years ago.
There is a chance he’ll get an email notification of you posting and reply.

At this point, it’s really better to start your own thread.

There are about 20 different ground on these trucks. I have read a couple of threads where grounds were loose. Follow your negative cable down to the grounds. Depending on MY and engine there are several different battery cable arrangements. I know one guy had an issue with the main ground just to the left of the battery (when you are standing looking at the battery from the front of the truck) which was loose. It would move a little and ground out. Everything would work. Then it would move again and blackout.
