Default electrical

i have a 2017 f 150 and i had a tag light go out that came out to be the factory plug needed replacing so i replaced it and it came with 2 metal butt connectors that in the process of wiring the 2 connections touched that caused a spark which ultimately caused a short circuit and it ended up throwing my check engine light on that has 26 codes. all of which are on the same circuit. yes i know i should’ve disconnected the battery but didn’t plan on it being this crazy. i can erase the codes and the lights still comes on. how do i fix this to get my light to go off??

See if the codes will reset, check your fuses then see what codes are left

Most likely the FET circuit which protects the wiring from overcurrent has tripped and won't reset until you clear the DTCs. You will most likely need FORScan or a high-end diagnostic tool to do this.
