Default Ebay mudflap install?

I got the oem rip-off mudflaps for my '16 xlt off ebay (hey they were 17 bucks!) and surprise surprise, no install instructions included. They did come with a total of 8 screws... anyone installed these and care to share how you did it? Thanks in advance!

OEM would have two steel struts/braces for the rear flaps, as well as assorted clips, screws, and plastic film to isolate the steel struts from the aluminum body to prevent a galvanic reaction. Not sure from your description what you purchased. There are install videos on Youtube.

Basically a clone of the oem mud flaps minus the mounting hardware and Ford logo.

Looks like you got what was in the auction pics. You have to put self-tapping sheet metal screws through the fender inner lip....No thanks....The OEM set is worth the extra money

Agreed, putting steel screws through the aluminum fender lip is a no-no.

I made the same mistake as the OP. Took everything out If the box and realized I didn’t want to punch holes in my new truck. Lesson learned. At least it wasn’t too expensive. I bought a set of true OEMs instead.
