I have these Philips X-treme vision in my high beams and they work great. Very happy. Here they are against the wall

Anybody else perform the H9/9011 conversion on their 2018? Looking for feedback before I do mine, but there are two things that concern me a bit:
-The housing appears to be slightly smaller than the '15-'17 model, so can it take the extra heat without the extra volume/surface area? Maybe the size difference is negligible (or just an illusion), but I don't have dimensions of both lights to compare.
-The forward facing bulb shroud on the '18 appears to have small slits in it, as opposed to being solid. I'm hoping this does not result in excessive glare since the H9 does not have a coated tip.
The fogs look the same from '17 to '18, so I'm hoping the swap to 9005 there shouldn't cause any problems. I did the H9/9011 swap on my last vehicle, and it was an amazing difference. Even replaced the H9s at one point with fairly high end LED bulbs (2nd generation Xenon Depot Xtreme LEDs), and the output was crap in comparison so I put the H9s back in. I'm now a firm believer that halogen housings should only use halogen bulbs.

For the fogs I went with Sylvania's Zevo LED fog, which is slightly a different colour than the ZXE's?
Still, a huge improvement over the stock yellow garbage halogens.
Thanks

Man I hope the Ford engineers are reading this thread to understand all the boohlshiite their customers are having to go through to correct such a seemingly critical and fundamental requirement of motor vehicle in the year 2016: To be able to see while driving at night.. My goodness gracious I hope they get this resolved in 2017, as this is somewhat embarrassing...
If one reads this entire thread, as I just did, the reader leaves the thread feeling wholly confused... From the difficulty acquiring the material, to the myriad of material combinations person A is using versus person B, to the difficulty getting to the headlight bulb location, to the clear disparity in results from several people who have accomplished this mod (especially the poster who had to essentially "un do" the mod because he was blinding everyone on the road) - it really leaves the reader confused and defeated.... I really have no clue what to do after reading this thread, and it's unfortunate because around page 2, I bookmarked it and told myself "Ah!! Finally a reasonably priced headlight mod!!"
Ford are you paying attention? Your headlight design for this generation of the F150 gets an "F"... And I concur with that grade... I literally check to see if my headlights are on every single night drive... 100% of the time I have to check my headlight switch to make sure my headlights are on!
Other than that - the truck is BA!!! Best vehicle I have every owned!
