Default Drivetrain moaning while cold

Is it normal to hear a slight low end moan / wining sound while decelerating when the drivetrain is cold? Since the cold hit, I've been noticing this sound especially while deceleration from 40-30mph. Once the trans temp gauge reaches around 150-160° the sound nearly disappears. The sound seems to change tune with the speed and not RPM. I only started noticing it since it started getting cold out.

Don't you moan when it gets cold outside?

I have not noticed it on my 2015 but it's not all that unusual for something like this to occur when it gets really cold outside.

It may be better described as a lower wine / hum sound that changes tune with the deceleration speed.

I wanted to check in because it's definitely apparent and although I've never owned a truck before other SUVs I've owned never made this kind of sound. Since the transmission temp takes so long to warm up I hear it for the first 20-30 minutes of my commute each morning. I started noticing it when the temp dropped below 45 or so outside.

You're right about the tranny temps taking a while to come up but I have not noticed the noise in mine.

I haven't noticed it on my 15, and it's been around 9 degrees for about a week now.
