Default Drivers side mirror damage

I cracked the drivers side plastic around the mirror. Do I really have to replace the entire unit? Blind spot and heat and electronic adjust all work perfevtly

Mine is damaged in the same area, was like that when I bought the truck and yes, the whole mirror needs to be replaced to fix it. Mine has remained damaged because I don't want to spend the hundreds on a new one.

You can get individual pieces for the mirror, but i dont know if you can get just the lower housing.
