Driver side noise
Anyone else have this noise? It's not all the time, seems it depends on wind direction and speed! It sounds like the door is letting air out not in. If I hit recirc button it reduces the noise dramatically!!
I've got the same thing going on, I even stopped by my dealer today to have them look at it. He rode around with me, acknowledged that it made the noise, but told me it was the nature of the the truck.
He did say he wanted to use tracing powder around my seals to see if he could locate where it was coming from. He said that most of the noise is from "wind turbulence" and the aerodynamics of the side mirrors causing wind rush. Whatever that means!

I've been chasing this issue for a while on my 2012 F150. I thought i has it narrowed down to the blender door because when I'd switch the recirculate button off (pulling in fresh air) the noise would go away.
I had my truck in for an oil change and asked them to look at it last week. They couldn't get it to make the noise so I had to take a tech for a ride along.
He figured out that it's the plastic trim piece on the mirror where the arm of the mirror connects to the door. He said wind gets under it and makes it vibrate depending on the conditions. He said turning off the recirculate must divert enough air to make the noise go away.
Good news: I know what is causing the sound.
Bad News: It's not covered under my warranty. The said the mirror is perfectly functional and has no defects therefore it doesn't qualify for warranty work.
I was told to buy some silicon sealant and squirt it in there and use painters tape to hold it down until it dries and I should have the issue anymore.
Great customer service. Not
