Default drive train dimensions

I’m thinking about doing drive train swap from a F150 with the 2.7 to an older truck(non Ford) that had a GM 350 with 480 transmission, 242 tcase . Does the more modern engine and transmission/tcase take up more size in volume or overall smaller than the old 350?

I hope you are good at wiring and electronics. Even if the new drivetrain will fit, you need the PCM, TCCM, possibly a BCM and ABS, and all the related sensors. I agree with icecoldak, good luck.
