Ford doesn't sell just the o-ring. But I did the measurement on the o-ring and appears to be a #208. Can source from McMaster Carr, Granger, and autopart's stores.

Drain plug for what? Oil? If so, a PLASTIC oil drain plug?? Are you kidding me Ford? If it's for something else, I will just crawl back in to my hole.

Nothing wrong with a plastic drain plug. When one can be bothered to design one properly, that is. The critical part is the o-ring. The plug only serves to hold that ring in position.

Yes, I was surprised too.....but they must have tested etc....but they are reverting back to the metal Engine oil pan. for some time they were making composite material pan which had this type of drain plugs....

The green o-ring on the oil pan plug may be made from either Viton (fluorocarbon) or HBNR (Hydrogenated nitrile), it's hard to determine the material from just the color alone. Buna-N (nitrile) is a common low cost o-ring material. HBNR and Viton are higher performance o-ring materials, particularly Viton. Be careful using the Buna-N o-rings, especially if you use an extended oil drain interval. Buna-N is more susceptible to compression set over time, where the o-ring takes a flattened appearance and reduces it's sealing ability.

It could also be a Fluorocarbon (FKM, FPM). Parker (a leading industry OE of seals) has two FKM o-rings that are green, Compound VW175-75 (75 durometer) is for automotive applications and rated -15° to 400°F.
