Default Downpipe Install Cost

I just bought some SPD Catted Downpipes. I was looking at the install videos and it may be too much for me to tackle on my own in my driveway. I called a shop in my area that does work on mainly mustangs and they do work on F150's too. I was quoted $275 for the install. Is this reasonable to you guys? I know it's a bit time consuming from the videos i've seen.

Well IMO, that's not bad... just not great.

I'm lucky to have a friend who owns an indy shop and when we changed everything out from the down pipes all the way back (down pipes-res delete-magnaflow side exit exhaust) so down pipes to muffler tip it took us about two hours.

Two hours for a competent shop should be more than enough time. You might consider getting a couple of more quotes.

So , what ball park number should be considered a good price? I know all shops are different I just need more or less a good number to start with.

Depending on the rates in you area... Indy shops here are around $75 to $95 per hour. I'd think $200 should get er done.

My region - my opinion.

Thanks. I'm calling other shops and see what I get quoted.
