In the past few weeks I have had this issue where I'll get the double horn honk when entering my unlocked 2018 Lariat with keys in my pocket. The truck is stored, unlocked in my garage. Any ideas???

As you surmised, the double honk is telling you something. Had you attempted to do anything right before this started, like resetting your TPMS or similar? Any chance you have a 3rd party alarm? No message on the dash/display?

 

Nope, nothing out of the ordinary. No alarm, no messages. I did make a couple Forscan changes a while back though.

That's where I would start. Hopefully you documented what you did, and also know how to go back to the original setup.

I will tell you that the Double Honk is produced when one tries to remote start and it fails, like the hood switch isn't signaling the hood is closed. But you didn't note a remote start attempt, and said the vehicle is unlocked, and remote start locks it.

 

Mine double honks when I get out of the truck with the keys in my pocket and walk away basically saying "hey ******* i'm still on"

Seems like yours is doing the opposite...
