Default Door panel rattle

I know this subject has been talked about a million times. I noticed a rattle no one has talked about before. My 18 XLT has developed a door panel rattle at the top where it's sits next to the glass. I took off the panel and noticed their is a two piece system that locks over the weatherstrip on the door. Íts a black plastic piece that is plastic welded to the panel itself. Hard to explain but I'm wondering if it's supposed to be glued to the panel. It might be a brace for the top where you would lay your arm. The two pieces rattle now when my arm isn't laying on it. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

I know that once you take the panel off it will rattle. Did you have your door repaired by ford for anything? Frozen door lock? My almost 2 year old 2018 doesn’t rattle at all in the door panels, but I have never had them off nor has ford. My dads 2017 lariat has had the frozen lock problem repaired and his doors rattle like crazy.

I replaced the speakers. Do you know if these two parts in my picture are supposed to be glued?

Can’t answer your question but using Tessa tape helped me a ton. Wrapped areas that rattle and stuffed areas like you mentioned with other material to keep it tight.

Amazon, tons of options. I also use kilmat for some areas, it’s sound treatment but I get creative.

I have this issue in a 2018 XLT. I haven't torn anything apart yet, but I can't figure out where the heck it is coming from. It sounds like the window actuator wires banging around, more of a metal sound clinking, but who knows. It absolutely drives me nuts, but working from home I don't drive it that often anymore. I will eventually get around to looking at it. Hoping others can help to pinpoint as well.
