Default Door Not Unlocking

Hello all,

I got my front windows tinted yesterday and the place I took it too apparently pulled the top portion of the door panel loose so they can get the tint all the way down on the glass past the barrier. When I picked the truck up I immediately noticed that the passenger door would not unlock. I can open the door with the inside handle but not the outside handle. When I click the unlock button the **** that usually sticks up above the door panel is now sitting flush with the door panel. When I click "lock", the door **** goes like a half in below flush. I know this is wrong because it is clearly lower than the working drivers side door. I spoke with the tint place and I will be taking it to the dealership tomorrow to have it looked at but I wondered if anyone would know off the top of their head what could make the **** sit lower on one side that the other. I can hear it engaging when I click the button but it's not moving to the proper height.

Sounds like the panel may be misaligned, and the **** can't pop up to let you open it.
