Default Door Module Question

Howdy again!
I have a 2016 F150 XLT Sport4x4 302a with 8-pin mirror harnesses. I want to add puddle lights, planning to simply add on a off-the-shelf led under the mirror. I understand that my 8-pin harnesses are not compatible, however what I really want to know is whether my factory door modules would support the puddle light circuit with a ForScan and wiring change, or will I have to swap my door modules? Thanks for all input, questions are welcome.
P.S. if anyone knows of a good budget drop-in sequential mirror signal light for non-tow mirrors, I would love a recommendation! I've got Morimoto headlights and would love the sequential signals to match.

Also, is there wiring run to the tailgate for adding the max-tow trailer hookup lamp in the tailgate handle? My diagrams are unclear.

Can't help you with your first question. Here is the electrical schematic for the tailgate lamp. The main connector to check for the wire is C408 at the back of the truck. This is connected to C316 which is above the DS wheelhouse and runs all the way to the back of the truck.
