Default Door harness help.

How does the plug that goes from the cab to the rear passenger stay in place? Don't see a clip or the grommet doesn't go through base on referring to the drivers side.

Mine has this zip tie on it. Maybe it compresses something in the rubber boot to lock it in?

Looks like there is an arrow on the face of the boot. Wonder if you slide up if it will pull out.

It's really loose in there so you can move up and down and side to side. Drivers side is locked in place. I just done see how it would lock in.

I'm kinda thinking the boot pulls back. It's just a cover? And there is something under the boot that snaps in the opening? Try rolling the boot back. I bet you will see what's up. The zip tie is just there to keep the boot from comming off?

Can you not take the zip tie off and look? The boot is just a weather seal. The connector clips into the body. If you remove the zip tie and peel the boot back you could see that.

Yep it's a ware he seal on the rest of the doors the weather seal slides in the metal frame which secured it. Finally got it figured out. PJband noticed the up Arrow. You have to slide the boot from the bottom up around the connector. This fills in the void and makes the "tight" seal. I was expecting either to clip to lock in place in the metal and the boot goes over or the boot slides into the metal frame and holds the connector.

That's for the replies, it help finding the solution.
