2016 Super Crew Lariat
Passenger door always stuck out maybe 1/8” when closed. Today we moved the striker bar or latch (part attached to to door frame) just a few mm further into the truck.

Closed the door and boom, it looks just about perfect. However it’s pretty difficult to close, you have to slam the door to get it to properly close. With heat and time do you think the weather stripping will soften and make it a little easier to close?

 

Had the same issue with my passenger door after adjusting the striker bar. After a few months it did get easier to close. Not quiet as easy as the driver's door but acceptable.

 

Check the rubber bumpers on the door. If they are adjustable, screw them in a bit until the resistance eases up.
