Default Does your hood shake?

I noticed that at times if a semi passes me going the opposite direction, it looks as if my hood is about to blow off, and in a strong head wind at 70MPH, it does quite a bit of shaking.

Just wondering if other see this, or if it needs some adjustment to tighten it down.

First time it did it, I was like Holy S***!

if it does, it's not enough for me to notice.

Every newer vehicle I've driven seems to have slight hood flutter. I'm guessing it's thinner designs made possible with computer modeling or lighter materials. My 03 and 05 (which was a cheap POS) car didn't do it, but my wife's 13 Mazda does, my truck does, and all my '10+ trucks at work have a light hood "flutter" above 50ish mph. Some are steel, some are aluminum, some are a mix a materials. I'm talking normal driving, not tractor trailers passing. It's a ripple/flutter, no lifting.

Every vehicle I've ever had in my 33 years of driving had some shutter when passing an 18 wheeler in the opposite direction. Your truck is fine.

I should get a video grab from the dash cam next time it happens, words can't describe it! LOL It looks like the hood is actually rippling and distorting, but only with certain types of semis passing the other way. The hood is actually raising up and shaking. It lifted so much the first time I thought for sure it came undone.

My 14 didn't shake like this but it was also a different design with the attached grill, so who knows.

Slight flutter a speed. Nothing like my old square body GMC hood dance fandango.

I had the same problem. I stopped and checked the hood...thought it wasn't latched. I had the dealer check/fix it last weekend....problem solved. I get very little movement now.....MUCH better than before. Dealer said the hood was sitting a little high so they lowered it.
