Default Does a used TCCM need to be reprogrammed?

The TCCM on my 2019 F-150 is bad. If I buy a used TCCM with the same part number for the same type of truck, will it just be plug and play or does it need to be reprogrammed? I know a new one does, wasn’t sure about used.

If yes, can this be done with Forscan or does the dealer need to do it?

No, the TCCM does not require programming. It does communicate over the HS2-CAN bus so you will probably have to perform a reboot (or restart depending on the version of FORScan you are using) for it to work properly.
