Does it increase it or decrease it? Also, and I've done some searching. Does the max towing package on a 157" wb ride rough? I drive around with roughly 500 lbs of gear at all times in the back seats and bed. I don't think I'll need the max tow but it will be nice to have it in the future if I need it. Also wondering about ride quality. All I found from searching was the fx4 rides rough. Some guys were saying they bought the fx4 for the interior? I wasn't aware the interior of the fx4 package 15+ changes

 

Max tow no longer increases payload.

 

Max towing does not increase payload, if you ordered the max payload package (not sure if you can order both packages at once) then you would have more payload. Max tow gives you bigger radiator, stiffer springs, etc. if you look on your door it will give you your gcw and payload. Gcwr you can find in the manual or here

It's my understand this truck 157" ecoboost has a tow cap of 10600 and max tow only raises it to 11600? Not worth it

Max payload has been proven to be a marketing scam. The only difference is the tow chain plate is thicker and angled. The front swaybar might be thicker.

 

Are you referring to Max PAYLOAD Package or the Max TOW Package?
