Default Does bumper2bumper warranty cover this?

My certified pre-owned 2-15 platinum has a 12 month bumper to bumper warranty, I also purchased a discounted 5 year bumper to bumper just because there's so much motors and electronics in this.

Anyhow, there seems no accident on this truck, clean carfax and careful examination shows prestine condition, one owner, local resident.

However, when I'm mounting the license plat on the front, I noticed the cheap plastic trim piece is not snapped in firmly. The chrome bumper has 4 anchors in the middle, and about 6 others on both sides for the plastic black piece to snap into. My plastic piece is only snapped in on the two sides (minus one) and two top anchors in the middle, minus the bottom two. I kept bending the plastic and push, but the clasps just won't reach or go into the chrome bumper.

This has no functional adverse effects and won't fall off, but just not perfect, it's like a case of poor build quality, somehow the chrome bumper is not molded symmetrically and so the clasps won't reach some of them. Very annoying.

Only one way to know, go ask the dealer.

If it's not covered under warranty, I think your find that piece only runs approx $30 online.

I'm sorry, i don't think I finished my thought in the original post! So, after realizing the metal bumper might be bent/poorly molded, resulting in the plastic piece not reaching it, the bumper tabs need to be bent forward to allow contact using a rubber plier. I wonder if the dealer shop would do this and not charge..., well, i guess it's easy enough to do it myself.

some aftermarket manufacturer ought to make a rubber version of this plastic POS! It's made in USA, but who cares, make a real insert that function as a frontal collision buffer, like the Corvette.

The end cap broke off from my side step last winter took it to the dealership. They ordered a new one had me come in to reinstall didn't pay anything it was covered. I would think that in your case the same will apply.

CPO? you have no idea what was done to the truck by a PO. carfax is only as good as the reporting agency and if a fender bender was never reported, very "minor" or taken to "billy joe bob's back woods car repair" then it will not show up on carfax.
