I have a 2018 f150 Ruby Red screw lariat 502a 6.5 bed 4x4. I know the body will not rust, but the frame is steel and will still rust. I will be storing it in the winter months. I drive an 07 Prius and an 02 F250 4x4(work truck)as winter beaters.

Do you guys store your trucks for the winter? If so what do you drive as winter beaters??

I bought my 2017 Platinum 4x4 to drive in the winter, and other bad weather. My car only gets driven in nice weather, over 45 degrees and sunny.

Store a mass production truck for the winter? That's kinda like saving your wife or girlfriend for the next guy........

I drive my Grand Sport Corvette with summer tires in the winter, as long as it isn't snowing.

Default Mine gets stored

Yes I store mine. I don’t judge others on their goals and choices either.

In the past I would drive a used Taurus or the like, but being that I work from home, it’s moot and I got rid of it. Our Explorer is the family hauler/“beater”, especially during the winter.

Like the others have said, I bought mine to drive in the winter and have a Camaro that I drive in the summer. Isn't the idea of a 4X4 for use in the winter months when you need it?

My 18 Lariat is my recreation tow vehicle. As soon as winter set in the truck went on a battery
tender in the garage. My winter vehicle is a 2014 KIA Sorento AWD that gets me everywhere in the snow. BTW, I have owned a lot of Fords and by far the KIA is the most dependable, well built vehicle I have ever owned.

I don't store my 2015 for winter but I drive it less. I drive my old Ranger on the slippery/salty days and keep the crap off my newer truck if I can.

My truck gets semi stored in the Winter along with my XJ which is permanently stored.
I start them up a couple times a month up to operating temp and will occasionally drive them when there is zero snow on the roads.
I've got the luxury of owning 2 other vehicles for Winter DDers.

I only really use my truck in the Winter when i need to do truck things with it.
Like getting gasoline for my snow blower, tractor and ATV which is somewhere between seldom and never.

Hopefully when it comes time to trade in my truck, the rust will be minimum.

I decided to live in an areas where I don't need a winter beater. Haven't had a real winter since I left the Chicago area in 1982.
