Default Does anyone know.

2017 f150, 3.5L ecoboost. Loosing coolant but can not find any leaks. No lights on in the dash and no codes popping.
also wandering if anyone knows the price range to have the water pump, cam phasers, and timing chains replaced.

definitely sounds like burning it. Hopefully not a head gasket or internal water seal. Your best start would be a compression test on the coolant system. Kits are available for a diy guy or can be done at the stealership or local shop.

does it smell lean when running from exhaust also just in case check your oil Also check the connect on the upper radiator hose. It has a clip in hose connections with a rubber gasket inner seal and they tend to leak a lot on fords. And where it is I’ve seen it not show due to evaporation

Turbo coolant lines and/or water pump. I had both simultaneously and was not able to locate the leaks. Seems that in both cases the coolant dried on the hot surfaces making a difficult diagnosis at least for me. My dealer had no trouble however. They replaced the turbo lines then discovered the water pump. Thankfully both under warranty.

edit: I just stumbled upon a Ford MAKULOCO video having too do with cam phaser start up rattle. As he describes the parts he replaces when doing this job he shows most of the coolant hose crimp collars cracked. The truck he was working on did have 100k on it but it’s another weakness that can cause coolant loss.
