Documents for 2019 cam phaser recall
I just started having an issue with the cold start noise. I called the dealership and they said that I am 2 months out of the power train warranty. I do not remember ever getting a notice of an issue with this? I have only had the truck serviced at Ford Dealerships and I was never told anything about it? Anyone have an idea of how to get Ford to cover it now? The truck has 55,000 miles on it.

Sorry #1 post you don't even say what kind of truck you have, or the engine you have and there was never a recall, there was a customer satisfaction program that offered a re-program, then an unreprogram for those trucks that got jerky after the reprogram, then there was a extended drivetrain warranty that took it to 70,000 miles rather than factory 60,000 miles, all this was sent out to owners via letter and the Ford Pass app. There was no recall. If you did not pay attn. to the letter, and to the CSP program on the Ford Pass app. well the time has passed by years. You are responding to a 3 year old post that no longer applies to anything. We don't even know if your truck was part of the CSP since you never mentioned what your truck is or the engine it has. If you need a cam phaser set the new style OEM Ford replacement part should in theory be all that is left in the parts bin when you pay for the service to have it done.
Sorry I did not include everything! I was pretty upset yesterday over this whole issue. It is a Ford F-150 with the 3.5 engine. I use the Ford Pass App all of the time and I have had it serviced at a Ford Dealership since we have owned the truck. I still do not remember seeing a notice or being told anything at the Ford Service Department. The truck has 55k miles on it and the local Ford Service Department said we are 2 months out of the time for the power train warranty. I know this was a old post/thread was just hoping for some insight from people that know much more about this that I do.
