Do Weathertech mats/Husky mats take away from a trucks nice look?

I've tried to figure out a reason to have carpet if you're just going to cover it up.

Because salt and carpeting is a bad combination. Because getting driveway grit out of carpeting is too time consuming. Because when I want my truck to look nice, it takes 5-10 minutes to pull the liners, quickly vacuum, and put the factory carpet mats in.

Don't misunderstand. When I sell this truck people will think no one ever put their feet on the floor. I never take the Husky's out. I clean them with a vacuum and a wipe them down still in place.

I think they look terrible. They always stick out like a sore thumb, especially when they have mud or salt on them.
If I wanted vinyl floors I could have saved a bunch of money. I clean my floor mats when they are filthy. If they wear out I'll replace them.

Yep--Glad you love to have all the salt, mud and dirt ground all over your carpet, looks fantastic

Not to mention the fact that the carpet is porous, so all that wet salt from melting snow flows right on down and pools under the carpet, in the padding and corrodes the metal from inside.
