Default Do the Platinum seats ever get softer?

I have a '16 Platinum that I bought in February. The seats were 4th for me when compared to Ram, GMC and Titan with Ram being the most comfortable.

That's neither here nor there bc everyone has there own preference.

My question is, do the Platinum seats get softer with time? Mine feel stiff as a board. I knew they were this hard when I purchased but was hoping they would soften up some and become more comfortable. I have the lumbar all the way off/soft. Thanks guys

I don't have any experience with these seats exactly, but I can say that over time leather itself will get a little softer as it breaks in, but I wouldn't expect the seats to suddenly become recliners either.

I think the issue itself is the design/structure of the seat, along with the padding/springs inside. The leather itself is a very small part of the comfort as far as stiffness.

I would think there are aftermarket options for more padding though!

Are you using any leather conditioners after car washes? This seems to have helped me though out the past.

I don't think so. 18 months with mine I don't think they're any different. My wife has stopped complaining finally but they're definitely not the most comfortable seats. I remember the seats in my 2001 Lariat Screw with 60/40 bench... man those were soft and plush!

I haven't put any conditioner on them yet. First time with leather seats so Im kind of new at the upkeep part.

What kind of conditioner would you recommend?

My uncle has a Ram and his seats blow mine out of the water when it comes to being comfortable. Im hoping they "loosen" up a bit .
