Just did the VTA mod and love the sound of the blowoff, but still want more turbo whistle.
My 5* tunes helped some, but I want more!

Let us know what you find out. I just don't see how removing those two air mixers could add any more Turbo whistle, but hey, I hope it does cause I would love to hear more of it out of my ECOBeast also. Keep us posted please.

Ok, just went on a short drive around town, definitely no immediate difference, but something does seem a little different. I think there is just a little more turbo sound, I will have to get more time in the drivers seat to find out. Will be monitoring MPG's as well. I encourage others to give it a try to compare results, it literally took less than 5 mins to take them out, and they will go back in just as easily.
Actually during the ride I was having too much fun listening to the blow off valve that I was hardly paying attention to the turbo's. After driving through town with the windows down, it is LOUD!

Going through a small underpass, absolutely did not mean to bark the tires, I blame 5* for this!

All I did was disconnect the bottom end of the hose running from the blow off valve to the intake, and I machined a plug out of polymer that snaps in the end of the hose to cap it off. I left the hose in place, and zip tied it so it doesn't flop around. This way I can literally swap back to stock in 30 seconds by popping out the plug and plugging the hose back to the BOV.
