I just brought my 2016 f150 xlt home...i am finding a quirk and I don't know how to change it...every time I turn the truck on the display defaults to the towing screen and I didn't know how to change it to something else permanently...i don't mind the speedo or fuel mileage but I don't want to see trailer settings every time I turn it on lol

 

I have sense figured this out since searching and I don't know how to delete lol

 

Sounds like there might be a fault in the trailer wiring harness, read about it on here in the past but don't remember which thread. Basically the truck thinks a trailer is still attached. May just be a bad ground or something., if you do not have the know how to trace the wiring (like me), take it to a place that installs hitches and they should be able to get you fixed up.

 

Go to the trailer screen on the instrument cluster and choose no trailer

 

this fixed the issue the PO started to add a trailer and never finished

 

Agree. With my 16, I had to tell it that no trailer was attached.
