Nice. My lights came in while I was out of town. I got back home today and wanted to install them tomorrow, but calling for 100% rain.

I'm not far from you, it's sprinkling here in Denham, but i went and tested the lights out in the rain and i'm super glad i installed these things, so so much damn better than stock!

Also they look quite nice!

What's the overall consensus on the SL1's? I've been waiting for a decent solution since I've tried numerous LEDs over the past couple of years between my truck and Focus ST, never been happy with any of them. My H9 conversion is a nice upgrade, but still leaves more to be desired.

I also question the accuracy when DD states that everything will fit in the low beam compartment. That is the tightest light compartment of any headlight I've messed with, with the headlight on the truck there's almost no room to work with even swapping halogen bulbs.

I can't answer for the overall consensus, but, I like em and recommend them. I've used DD bulbs on my Mustangs & now my F-150.

I had a hard time getting the Low Beams to seat because I went thru the wheel wells. As for everything fitting in the compartment, they fit W/O problems.

Everything definitely fits in the housing without problem! I would definitely not go through the wheel well though I would just take that headlight housing completely out and put it in that way.

They will fit the 2015+ F-150 housings perfectly, as it was one of the main housings our engineers used during the development of the SL1.

It is a snug fit (as it should be!), but they will also leave enough room for the dust caps to be installed easily.

Thanks!

My opinion, they were worth the money. I think they are a big improvement. They do fit in the compartment, you just have to work at it. With that being said, don't make the mistake I made. I didn't get them seated correctly the first time and then tried to fix it by going through the wheel well. That is very very difficult and I ended up damaging the tabs on my low beam bulb. I'm hoping it holds, but I'm mad at myself for not taking the headlight assembly back out. Removing the headlight assembly is not that difficult other then getting the fender flare trim loose, I'm afraid I'm going to break it every time. If someone has a trick for that, I would love to know what it is. I'm embarrassed by all the issues I had, but hoping it helps someone else.

do the driver is inside behind the cap? Does it create enough heat to damage the bulb?
