You should definitely see a solid increase in output on the high beam. I'd recommend pulling up to a wall about 25 feet away, hitting your high beams, and making sure they are aimed properly. You'll want them to be the exact same height off the ground on the wall as they are on your headlights. If the aim is off even a degree or two, you might be lighting up the sky rather than far down the road. Just a tip!

I installed my SL1's yesterday. I tried going through the wheel well first and gave up on that pretty quick. If you can install your bulb and the driver and get the dust cover back on you are a magician. I ended up removing the headlights to do the job.
It was a nightmare going thru the wheel well. The dust caps were incredibly hard to remove & install among some of the problems going that way!.
I also had the same issue with the high beams, I just reversed the plug and taped it.
Yeah, that drove me up a wall. I actually had the dust covers back on before testing. Also, the tabs on the highs don't match up as good as the stock bulbs. I kept struggling trying to get them seated. When I couldn't get them to seat, I tried the stock bulbs and they slipped right back in. I ended up practically destroying the tabs on both of my LED Highs...Hope they don't give out and unseat in the future.
The output on low beams is very good, the output on high beams was not that impressive to me. That's my opinion, I have nothing to back that up.
Mine seem bright, but!

The high beam is not adjustable. From what I have done (just had to do it again with my new black headlight housings) is adjust it the same as the height halogen hotspot then about 2 turns lower on the adjustment screw. I pay special attention to small cars trunk and rear window to make sure my lights are not shining into them. Also when I approach other cars coming at me, I look to see if I can see their steering wheel or face. If I cant see either, then I know they are not aimed to high. Seems to have worked again because I put these housings in 2 weeks ago and still no flashes.

I'll get some more days of testing under my belt before I'll be satisfied I'm not blinding people the way I get blinded virtually everytime I drive at night.
