Default Different thread on 2018 wheel studs

Because of the design of my winter wheels I need to use a longer, narrower lug nut compared to the ones for my 3 season wheels. I was just getting things organized today to get ready to put the winter tires/wheels on shortly and realized the wheel studs on my '18 Lariat 20" hubs are a totally different thread than on my previous 2010 truck.

Can't believe they'd change the thread size and now I have to go out and buy 20 new lug nuts.

This is just an FYI for anyone who may be planning on using older lugs nuts on a new truck.

Yup. Found that out on the forum here. Same size lug, different thread pitch. Believe they went from 1.5 to 1.75. Progress, baby...and another $20 out of your pocket.

Get four extra to fill the holes you leave. 24 total!

2015 onward have a 1.5 mm pitch. 2014 and earlier were 2.0mm.

Thanks for verifying the new size nuts guys, I'll get new ones tomorrow.
Being as the truck is only a few months old I never had any reason to check the ones for the winter wheels until today..

The 4 locking nuts from my '18 have a narrow shoulder & will work on the winter wheels but thanks for the suggestion anyways..
