Booze, My dad was looking at a new 2017 Platinum 3.5 that had about 12k off I think. Not a bad deal, but honestly from what I've seen the deals aren't good enough to sway to me one over the other. Personally I'd rather pay a bit more and get what I want, and the 2018 style has really grown on me. Especially the sports with the LEDs! Plus unless you're looking at a 2017 3.5, the powertrains are all upgraded which that alone would make me go with 18s. Also the 18s are going to end cycle soon which might cut their prices a tad.

Either way get it and give us a build thread!

The rebates are off the 2017 due to age I'm guessing.

Can't hurt to throw them a number and see if they take it.

I went in today and got some information on the 2017s. I talked to a salesman and basically told him the same thing I've said here. They worked numbers a little bit and he said the best he could do on a $64k MSRP Platinum (they had one Blue Jeans and one Magnetic, identical builds) is $58k out the door after TT&L. I think the price was $54k and the tax and title bumped it up to 58. I didn't see the doc fee in there but I think they are pretty reasonable. I think tax is 6.25 or 6.5 here.

An aggressive dealership could probably easily match that with dealer discount and incentives. Maybe less. I'll give it time. Labor Day seems to be a decent time to buy due to the 19s rolling out soon. I'm not in a real hurry. I like the Lariat Sports but it would have to be a 502. Once you get there though you might as well look at Platinums.

Thanks for the input. What happens to those 17s when they never sell them? Do they end up just taking a hit at auction or do they eventually slash the price on them?
