Difference between OEM $10 and $40 TPMS sensors?
I am putting together a 2nd set of wheels and tires, I found two different TPMS sensors at Tasca, it says they both fit my vehicle. One is $10, one is $40. Whats the difference?

Yeah I'm not sure I buy that... Looking further now I see that the frequency is different between the two as seen here:

$40/315mhz $10/433mhz. Now I just need to know which one I need?

Go to this site:

Click on the vehicle tab at the top, then put in your VIN. It will give you lots of info about your truck. The TPMS sensor frequency should be listed.
This is what is listed for mine " Tyre Pressure Sensors - 315 MHZ"

I'm curious about this comment. Does that mean you can mount the 433 MHZ units in a trailer and the truck will also monitor those as the trailer tires?
I had not heard or read that before but if its true thats a brilliant idea. I would think that they too would need 315 MHZ for the truck to be able to read them.
Unless it can read both and being different it allocates them as trailer tires so you dont confuse with truck tires.
Any more info?
