It never hurts to have another option for those that need it!

I don't want something that's slower, not as fun to drive, more expensive to buy, more expensive to run and saddled by emissions standards, but it's always nice to have options. I'll stick to my Ecoboost.

Gotta have that diesel even though it doesn't make any sense compared to Ecoboost alternatives.

Even Motor Trend falls all over themselves to name Truck of the Year because of the availability of a diesel engine. Big wow.

I never understood the logic to buy a small diesel for fuel mileage .. The additional cost of ownership makes it hard to break even .. Plus it makes the truck a whole lot less exciting, them ecosiesel Rams are absolute pigs in my opinion .. I'll stick with my 20mpg 3.5 Eco and enjoy the power

Never seen a diesel that had a tune, exhaust and intake being driven by a unhappy driver.

Sure they cost a little more to buy and operate but the longevity of them, power, resale value and fuel mileage would make up for it with me i can tell you that much.

I love my 2015 5.0 F150 but if they nail it with a diesel I will line up to buy the second or third year it is produced! I came from a 2500 diesel and I love my F150 I do miss the diesel. Both together would be an amazing truck!

This same spy picture was just discussed recently in another thread.

2017 F150 Diesel

As for diesel tunes, you're living in the past. The EPA pretty much shut down the entire diesel tuning/emission defeat industry several years ago. Good luck with that. A post DPF exhaust will make zero difference.

I don't know about the shutdown due to EPA. My buddy just put a hell of a tune in his 2014 F-250, around 1000 lb/ft of TQ! It is insane!

Plus many of us live in rural areas, we don't even have emissions testing here!
