Diable doors locking
So I have yet another brand new F150. I had a new one a few months ago that was pretty much the same version and had no trouble dealing with this that I recall but maybe I did something different. The new, current truck is a Kansas City 09/2018 XLT/XTR with Sync (not sync 3). I want to set the locks so they never actuate unless I initiate it and I want ALL the locks to do the same thing at the same time. None of this driver door only, passenger doors only business. Plain old school lock when I say, unlock when I say and never any other time. As it is now, I start driving and at a certain speed, the door locks all lock automatically. Here is the thing. I have gone into the settings and changed it but the behaviour is the same regardless. I go to settings>advanced settings>vehicle>locks. From there is a box you can check/uncheck autolunock. Nothing seems to change. The doors always lock by themselves when driving. What am I missing?

Been brought up by others. You changed the auto UNLOCK setting, which is what unlocks the doors when you turn off the truck, remove the key, and open the driver's door IF the doors were autolocked when you hit speed.
Ford apparently removed the ability to disable AutoLock during the 2018 model year.

You also mention having all the doors do the same thing. Autolock will lock all the doors when you hit the speed threshold (or put it into Drive if they changed it). AutoUnlock, your key fob and the driver's door handle (when the fob is in your pocket) will either unlock all the doors, or just the driver's door, depending on how you have that option set, which is called two-stage locking/unlocking. Press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote control for four seconds to disable or enable two-stage unlocking. Disabling two-stage unlocking allows your entire vehicle to unlock with one press of the button, or when you unlock the driver's door with your hand, or when you have AutoUnlock turned on in the menu.

Wow...deja vu all over again! I fought this exact issue with my dealer when I bought my '18 XL with the 4" screen. Seems that sometime during the 2018 production run, SOME--NOT ALL--of the F150s were programmed WITHOUT the "Autolock/Enable/Disable" feature in the menu. It wasn't trim level dependent, nor did it seem as if it was plant specific (Dearborn vs KC), nor did it seem as if it was discontinued on/after a certain date. I did some research when I was looking for a warranty fix (more about this later) and looked at the Instrument Panel Control module (IPC) menu options on many new vehicles on the lot with different trim levels and build dates, and found XL thru Platinum level vehicles with build dates both before and after mine--some had the feature...some didn't. Makes no sense, but that was my experience.
So here's the poop you'll need to "fix" this annoying glitch. First, go to the forum post pinned at the top called "FORSCAN" and start reading (yeah, there's a lot of info!). Go to the FORScan tutorial page and click the link to the Excel SS for the necessary "as built" changes to the code in your IPC module. Scroll down to lines 115-117 to find the changes needed to enable the AutoLock features. THESE ARE SPECIFIC TO TRIM LEVEL!!! The IPC line code changes to get what you want are: 720-01-01-xxxB-xxxx-xxxX for XL/XLT models and 720-01-01-xxxF-xxxx-xxxX for Lariat and up models. Many thanks to Livinitup for his knowledge, expert assistance and advice!
For those who are tech savvy and willing to buy the plug-in device to use FORScan software, it's easy. I first tried to get my dealer to help me with this and got ZERO SUPPORT from the service advisor, even with all the documentation and instructions to fix the glitch. I was able to weasel my way into the back of the service bay and chat up a Ford tech who agreed to use IDS, the Ford scan tool, to reprogram my IPC module. Note that just having the tech download a "fresh" IPC update based on your VIN will NOT fix the problem. He/she must have the "as built" coding for the IPC module and wipe the module clean and start over, hand entering each code line--that's the way Ford's IDS works and why you'll need the "as built" IPC line codes. You will only need to change 2 digits to enable the Autolock feature. The first is bolded red digit above and the second is the checksum at the end of the code string with the explanation from Livinitup here (please note these are MY as built" values and you will have to get your values for your truck's specific VIN):
720-01-01 2C0B 3064 6054
In the address above the last 2 digits are called a checksum (a mathematical sum of all the prior hexadecimal digits) and in FORScan these are not important but for a Ford tech making the change in the IDS module programming as-built area, he would need those so I included them because I assumed he wouldn't know and thought I'd help him out. Your factory values without Autolock enabled in cluster is the following: 720-01-01 2C0A 3064 6053 - so because "A" is one less than "B", the checksum for your original values is 53 instead of 54 with the "B"
Note: When I copied the text from a PM I had with Livinitup, some formatting script came thru in the italics above and I can't figure out how to disable. Ignore anything within the [-] region. Easiest translation is that my as built code was 720-01-01-2C0A-3064-6053 and the "fixed" code is 720-01-01-2C0B-3064-6054
Here's the thread from my fix: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/addin...424139/index2/
Hope this helps those poor souls whose trucks were built without the Autolock feature enabled. Good luck.

Thanks, both for all this information and taking the time to write it. I have heard of FORSCAN and guess I will be looking more into that. I am determined to fix it because it drives me up the wall. This is a working truck and I am in and out of it all day doing a million things. It seems like a small annoyance but my cognitive load is near max so anything helps.
Does this unlock all doors/ tailgate when opening the drivers door, or just prevent them from locking in the first place.
Every time I get out of my truck to open tailgate, I find it is locked, & have to go back to hit the unlocks.
I tired the:
Key on Lock 3 X
Key off Lock 3 X
Key on (horn should chirp) It didn't
Unlock 1X
Lock 1X (1 beep)
Key off (1 beep)
Never got any beeps / horn chirp
Also not sure if my 2018 XLT has perimeter alarm. I don't think it does.
