Depreciation: Dump 2015 now or wait?

I'll start by saying I'm not satisfied with the 2015 Lariat I bought. Cooling seat issues, unconformable headrest that causes back and neck pain, heated steering wheel that turns off on its own, wind noise, and no Sync 3 make me regret my purchase. I was looking at how much I can get from trade-in and I'm very close to break even (not even 9,000 in the 10 months I've had it). I'm ok with driving a $3,000 car indefinitely.

My question is, if I keep it until these issues are fixed (specially the seat!) and the 10-speed transmission is added, would it depreciation worsen? Like, if I kept it until 2017, would the availability of used 2016s make my 2015 worth less and/or depretiate faster so I wouldn't break even for trading it in in the future?

A couple months ago sync 3 was the "cats meow"

You are dang lucky! A lot of us that are doing the same are hearing that we can not get near that type of number on a trade in.

If you are close to break even, I would unload it if you're not happy with it.

The question is - are you break even from what you owe, or what you paid? Those can be 2 very different things.

What he said. If you're not happy, dump it.

If you genuinely dislike it and can get out without financial harm, go for it. But if you're holding out for a free-from-defect vehicle, it might be a longer wait. Who knows when the A/C issue will be fully resolved, but you can bet they're going to have some kinks to work out on the first edition of the 10-speed. Do you want to find yourself enjoying Sync3 but hating the fact that your truck has something else wrong with it?

The reason not to dump right now it is that there's not a new[er] vehicle I'm interested in. The only reason to dump it right this instant would be that as used 2016s start popping-up, the 2015s price would plummet, and I would not longer break even selling it for the same $$$ as what I still owe on it.

Sync 3 is why I worry that the 2015s won't keep up their resell value when used 2016 start popping up. It's like the only difference since since the issues I mentioned are still around in the 2016s. Why would anyone buy outdated software with 10,000 more miles other than a low price?
