FOrd Owned Land Rover while that motor was in development in current form. To this day they still share development packages from that time.

I belive the 3.0 powerstroke that is used is indeed made in a Ford Engine plant - but yes it might not have any direct correlation to the 3.0 ecoboost. But they have some common ideas.

the results are pretty much expected for the 5.0 ... the only things i call into question is the 2.7 dyno and performance vs 3.5 .. i pretty much expected the 5.0 to lose especially when tuning came into play

I am truly amazed.

The 2.7 is made for one reason only - CAFE standards.

Abuse this teeny little, plastic oil-pan equipped motor and it won't be long before it's cooked.

Got some data to back that up? The 2.7 is the most popular engine sold, so the data, if it exists, should be findable.

Also, I just realized that you seem to have missed the point of my opening post. The 2.7 outputs torque comparable the the 6.7 diesel per liter and weighs heavier per liter than the 6.7 diesel. Do you also have the opinion abuse the 6.7 that it won't be long until its cooked?

Holy ****..the 3.5 dropped 2 seconds to 4.3 0-60 tuned??

That’s it, I’m going to have to tune mine, even as impressive I’ve found it stock.

My rattly, squeaky, knocking Gen3 5.0 also has a plastic oil pan, so I guess that means it won't be long before it's cooked, eh? lmao at that logic
