Default Decisions f150 vs 250

Ok so my 2015 f150 ecoboost got flooded in Harvey truck was a total loss. I am having a hard time deciding between a 2-3 year old f250 lariat fx4 with about 50-60k miles for 44k out the door. Truck is in very good shape. Or do I buy a brand new f150 xlt for about the same price or a little less. I tow a 6x12 trailer and a teryx4 on it a few times a month. I also have a smaller tractor 32hp I town a few times a year. We want to get a 30 foot rv and tow it a few times a year. Which way would you go? I can't decide

Before deciding I suggest taking a long ride in both trucks. My friend has a 2012 F250 which IMO rides like an old Mac Truck. Whenever we're going somewhere of considerable distance even he doesn't like the way his truck rides. We almost always take my F150.

However the F250 should be more capable if towing weight is going to be a factor......

Yeah towing is somewhat a factor for me but I'm not sure if the gas f250 is much more than a f150 lbs wise

A gas Super Duty with 4.30 gears can pull 15k pounds.

its a compromise. one will tow better but ride will be worse. one will ride better, be faster and get better mpg. which is more important to you.

I have a 16 ecoboost and it's a blast to drive. Also have a Chevy 6.7 Duramax that is the complete opposite.

Daily driver is the 150. Wife wants an TT now so well probably end up with something for the Duramax to pull.

My 2015 max is very nice but I wouldn't want it as my daily driver. Stiff as he'll. If I didn't have my 150 I would just buy a cheap car as a DD.

If I were towing trailers weighing more than 7,500 pounds as often as the op I would spring for the diesel option if he planned on keeping the truck for at least 100K miles. Otherwise the F250 gasser.
