Thanks for this link. It says 15 production will start on Monday Sept 22 with 2 shifts and the third shift will be added on Oct 20th after the plant is fully revamped for the new model.
The last 14 rolled off the line Saturday August 23rd and the 4 week revamp starts Monday August 25th..
I believe that when they start building the 15 on Sept 22, they will hold those trucks for one month in storage lots to build up an adequate supply to get to all dealers at about the same time and to watch for potential problems that can be corrected before they are sent to the dealers.
FWIW

Doing a time-lapse of the last one rolling down the line, through the line changes, until the first 15's come down the line would make for a great video.

The last 1,000 trucks are white. A tradition that was started so in soft changeover years you can tell where the new model year starts.

4 weeks of 7 day, 2-3 crews, non-stop. Man I'd love to have that much work to do. Lol. I'm sure the UAW workers at both plants will have a minor learning curve with the newer robots and processes.

Anyone know if the re-tooling at the Dearborn plant is on schedule? There were a ton of articles when they started, but I haven't seen a thing since.

I just tweeted a source (@mrlevine) and he replied "On plan". So my guess is sometime next week they should start testing the line and begin a slow roll production plan.
