Default Dead pedal

Is the dead pedal (left foot rest...whatever you want to call it) removable in the 2015? I test drove one the other day and personally I found it a little uncomfortable (I'm 6'6" with a bad left knee, so its most comfortable if I can keep it fully extended).

You should be able to remove it... Underneath the carpet is a semi free floating foam block that forms the hump for the dead peddle foot rest. You may have to remove a trim panel near the floor by the hood release to pull the carpet back far enough. However, the carpet may never lay flat enough to fill the void.

My main complaint on this 2015 over my 2014. Not near as much leg room for the driver, which you don't notice on a quick test drive. I am also 6'6" and like to stretch my legs out. So if you find an answer to this, or if the suggestion here works, please let us know so others can make the change if it helps.

Thanks!

I'm surprised that someone hasn't already tried to remove it.

If I decide to purchase one this will likely be the first update I make and I will post results.

Don't know what trim level/options you have, but I can telescope my steering wheel out and move my seat back so far it's bound to give a 6'6" guy plenty of room.

I have the Lariat 502a. Not saying I don't fit, just saying it is a lot less roomy than the previous generations. Wider door panel, center console, and bulkier dash are to blame. I am like the original poster and like to stretch my legs out almost straight, but can't do that with the new one. N
