The problem with the Blackvue is that it's large horizontally, with the camera lens offset to the left side (when viewed from behind, inside the truck).
Ideally I would like to have it hidden from the driver's view. Some locations will issue tickets for obstructing the driver's view with a GPS or dashcam.

I'm Just about to head out for a long drive now, so I'll test the light sensitivity of the mirror sensor in full daylight.
i got use to the view

I went to the left of the mirror with no issues. Still not 100 percent happy with location. Will try to move it higher up. Will the suction cup stick to the black dot portion of the windshield?

Are you using the PowerPoint in the lower front consol? I was, but the power stays hot all the time and the camera didn't shut off. I used a mount kit and ran the wire across the headliner, down the right pillar, and into the fuse panel on the right kick panel. Now it powers up and down when the truck turns on, and off.
