Dash tick drivers side
Hey guys... 2018 F150 5L 4x4, at 1k miles. I used the forum search function and read the other posts about the drivers side cowl, but that won't reproduce the annoying tick that started up.
After giving the truck a good wash, (wheel wells, tires etc). the truck has developed an annoying intermittent ticking sound (sounds like a rock tapping on steel).
The sound only occurs when moving, cannot reproduce at idle. Road bumps/smooth surface seem to make no difference. Letting the truck warm up or started cool makes no difference.
Its a tick roughly every 10-15 seconds, sometimes more frequent, sometimes less. Any ideas? It almost sounds like the plastic pins inside the wheel well liners.
Dealership ripped the dash apart, but wasn't able to actually fix the issue.

I'll post one to youtube shortly. Its loud enough to hear, but with the radio at a 7 it will wash it out.
Can hear it at 11s. I moved my phone from under the dash (sound can be heard), to under the seat (no sound) back to the dash (sound can be heard)

this is gonna sound weird but I noticed when I had a beverage in my cup holder I could here a ticking on driver side when gojng over bumps. But when taken out it goes away. Like a referred sound. It’s a stretch but try it out
Played around with beverages etc in the cup holders and with the little hatch that covers the USB ports open / closed. Although it can create a small console sound, it doesn't replicate the ticking from the drivers side dash.
make sure that the drivers side wiper arm guid didn’t fall out and is rattling around the outside cowl area - if you lifted the wipers during detail the arm guid definitely fell out - what is it? a small key way that guides the wiper arm on to the splines. looks like a little aluminum pez.
